My name is Valerie and until recently I had two lovely pet German Shepherds. In fact they were Mother and Son. Their names were Maddie and Bruno. Maddie was 12years and 2months when I lost her in May 2004 and Bruno was 10years and 3months when I lost him in April 2005. I will always miss them both very much. Bruno was actually born into my hands which seemed to make him a lot dearer to me. He could read my every thought and I him. Although he was a very possessive and protective dog when we were out and about, he was the biggest softy at home. Maddie was a real gem, very feminine with a lovely nature, but at home she did the guarding. I now have a new dog called Louie. He is 6months old at the moment and an absolute delight and being a male, he is also another softy. He loves to play, as all puppies do, loves his walks and his ball and literally loves anybody and anything. I especially love the male German Shepherds. I used to be wary of them, didn't understand them, but after meeting a male dog called Vader and getting to know him, well he certainly converted me. Vader was mated to my Maddie who had seven puppies of which I kept a male, namely my beloved Bruno. Vader was bred by "DELAFORCE" kennels. I really envy the breeders of today, Gsd's have come such a long way and I'm a little sad that I became involved with the breed a little late but what will be, will be as they say, although I still frequent shows and breed surveys etc. I love to watch the dogs work, especially the boys!
